Many fibromyalgia patients complain about poor sleep, and studies be favored with shown that interrupted sleep experienced through . individuals with other pain conditions is presaging of next day clinical pain. Also, slumber duration has been shown to betoken clinical pain in healthy adults. For this study, a careful search team from the University of Florida hypothesized that decreased full sleep time would predict higher clinical uneasiness in a sample of patients with fibromyalgia.
Seventy-four adults with fibromyalgia were recruited toward a University of Florida study and they were observed in quest of 14 days. Subjects rated their clinical afflict every evening and completed sleep diaries describing the anterior night’s sleep.
Results of the algebra showed that four sleep measures evaluated in the study failed to significantly augur clinical pain. The authors noted that the movables of impaired sleep, such as toil and inactivity, may play more expressive roles in clinical pain than measures of rest duration or insomnia.
